Mydor’s Open Guest Home was established in 1993 and founded by Amelita Antonio, in Santa Maria, California. Mydor’s has built a reputation for providing the highest quality standards of care in a pleasant, friendly, informal, and comfortable environment. Mydor’s is a family run and operated, non-medical, 24-hour supervised residential facility, licensed by the State of California, Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing.  

Our goal is to offer a home away from home and help elderly residents enjoy life with dignity and security. Adhering to our goal, we provide safe and healthy living accommodations, personal assistance and care, observation and supervision by capable and well-trained staff, planned activities, food service, and arrange transportation for medical or dental care.

Sunrise Care

For in-home care, Sunrise Care has a skilled and caring staff who are ready to assist for seniors in their own homes. Senior care professionals assist with a variety of non-medical needs, including medication reminders, running errands, meal preparation, and grooming assistance. Some seniors, as they age and begin to need assistance, simply do not wish to leave the place they’ve called home for many years. Sometimes they bought their dream home upon retirement. Sometimes it is the house where they raised their children and watched their families grow up. For them, the walls and floors resonate with memories. A caring, in-home staff understands this and is dedicated to making seniors as comfortable and as satisfied as they can possibly be. These services, available 24 hours a day, every day, are paid for by the individual or through public and private funding sources, such as Medicare and/or Medicaid.
